We have an exciting opportunity working within both new and existing projects, ensuring successful delivery of major projects from contract award to completion and close-out for our clients within the energy sector.

Key duties:

Build effective relationships internally and externally; manage the relationship between the project team and client to ensure effective management of the scope, such that all projects are completed effectively strictly in accordance with the requirements of the contract as a minimum and generate positive feedback
Understanding and positively reacting to Client needs in an expedient and proactive manner
Responsible for overseeing all Client and Vendor interfaces to ensure seamless project execution is achieved, managing both Company inputs and client expectations effectively whilst preserving the reputation and interests of Company at all times
Guidance, support, oversight and stewardship of the preparation and challenge of all project cost estimates and approval of same, with effective management to ensure project budgets are met
Ensuring robust technical and commercial change control mechanisms / procedures are in place and are being adhered to diligently
Overseeing and approval of all project budgets expenditure and revenues and for monitoring of same at a meaningful frequency
Ensuring project related Company sales are maximised and up to date with all potential delays mitigated
Ensuring Appraise, Select, Define, Onshore and Offshore Execute and Close-out Phases, or parts thereof, of all projects are driven and delivered safely in line with, or ahead of expectations
Ensuring all projects are effectively completed strictly in accordance with the requirements of the contract as a minimum, and that adequate resources Group wide are in place to meet those requirements

About You

Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs.

We’d like you to have a Degree in a relevant subject, a Project Management qualification and previous experience in a similar role.
You need to have an understanding of the interfaces between engineering disciplines and experience of planning software.
Candidates will have good financial and contractual awareness, sound commercial judgement and experience in managing and developing others.
Excellent safety awareness and safety management experience
Appreciation of Company business strategy and objectives, with cognisance of how this interfaces with client’s strategic objectives
Strong work ethic, with a motivated and solutions orientated approach
Pro-active, with a positive outlook
Ability to coach and mentor others

There will be the opportunity to work in other locations, both on and offshore so candidates may need to travel and hold the relevant certification to do so.
