Lead Piping Engineer

Do you enjoy a challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Piping Engineer working within both new and existing projects, creating bespoke, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions for our clients within the energy sector.

As a Lead Piping Engineer with PD&MS Group, your responsibilities would include:

• Being a Focal Point for engineering activities
• Identify the scope of work required Input to project plans Identify areas of concern during any project or study
• Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
• Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore

Our ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs.
• Have degree in a relevant subject and significant previous experience in detail design with an understanding of other disciplines.
• Have experience and an interest in working with AutoDesk products
• Experience in managing and developing others.
• Will be Familiar with UK safety case, PED, PER and PFEER regulations
• Have experience in piping procurement activities, Liaison with vendors, Preparation of datasheets and Technical Bid evaluation for piping, valves and ancillaries

There will be the opportunity to work in other locations, both on and offshore so you may need to travel and hold the relevant certification to do so.
