Our growing and diverse Project Services department now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Estimator.
The purpose of your role will be to provide experienced project and contract estimating professional service, capable of developing estimates for all types and scales of projects.
As Lead Estimator, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide estimating services to the project / contract for all levels of estimate as required
- Fulfil the role of Estimator undertaking all estimating tasks with interface to costs, commercial and schedule functions
- Understand the corporate and contract specific estimating procedures and carry out all work in accordance with these
- In conjunction with the Senior Estimator, responsible for the preparation of estimates from conceptual through order of magnitude
- Estimates for identified projects in preparation of consistent estimates with scope definition and in accordance with company procedures and guidelines
- Deliver estimates in a safe, timely and cost effective manner in line with contractual requirements to the satisfaction of company and customer
- Maintain proper cost estimate method and documentation
- Identify cost estimate deliverables
- Take part in and liaise with risk analysis team as required
- When required, attendance at project meetings to answer queries on estimating
- Liaise with Project Teams to ensure the necessary information is made available to prepare the required estimates
- Liaise with Procurement and Construction Teams in order to obtain accurate estimates for materials and Subcontract services
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of methods for improving estimating techniques
