About The Role

PD&MS Group are now looking for a Power Platform Developer join our DS&T Team in Aberdeen on a full-time, employee basis. We offer an excellent salary + benefits package on a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely. 
We are seeking candidates that have previous software development experience for this role.
 
Role summary:
The Power Platform Developer is responsible for providing development to OnPrem and O365 environments using the power platform suite of tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior developers and business users to understand and document requirements for Power Platform projects
  • Design and develop low-code solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate (Flow), adhering to best practices and design guidelines
  • Customise and extend SharePoint Online, SharePoint lists, and other Office 365 components as needed
  • Integrate Power Platform applications with other systems and data sources using connectors and APIs
  • Develop and maintain efficient and reusable code components to ensure scalability and maintainability of applications
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Power Platform applications
  • Participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and learn from senior team members
  • Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features, updates and industry trends
  • Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications, user guides, and training materials
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of Power Platform solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of development efforts with business goals
  • Be a champion for knowledge management and collaboration
  • Remain up to date with the latest features and updates in the Power Platform ecosystem
  • Demonstration of safe approach in working practises
  • Encouragement of attention to safety
  • Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
  • Adherence to the company integrated management system
  • Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
  • Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example
  • Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
  • Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
  • Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example

About You

Qualifications:
  •  HND in computing studies or equivalent
Experience / competence:
  • Understanding of the Power Platform Components
  • Good understanding of data modelling concepts (preferred)
  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications
  • Demonstrable experience in Application Development using PowerApps (preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience in Automation and Workflow Design using power Automate (preferred)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
