About The Role

PD&MS Group have a great opportunity for a QA/QC Engineer to join our progressive QHSE team based in Baku on a long term basis. Will be on a remote basis most of the time. The QA/QC Engineer maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

Please note only Azeri nationals can be considered for this position.

Duties - 

  • Conduct Vendor QC Inspections
  • Conduct QC Site visits both On and Offshore 
  • Liaise with Client and 3rd Party Inspectors
  • Check and approve Fabrication packs
  • Review Site Construction data dossiers
  • Control and coordinate QA of the QC Inspection i.e. SIR’s, defects register, snagging sign off etc
  • Maintain Welder Qualifications and develop and maintain Weld Register
  • WPS selection for PD&MS construction works
  • Focal point for QC activities at PD&MS managed facilities
  • Coordination of third party inspectors to satisfy quality plan requirements
  • Monitor and measure supplier quality performance, conduct analysis and report trends
  • Compile and issue QA/QC Reports
  • Provide QC Inspectors with guidance and direction to meet targets
  • Help produce Quality documentation for the client as directed by the QHSE Manager
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by QHSE Manager 
  • Liaise with Procurement and Materials department to ascertain Inspection schedules
  • Responsible for the development, management and continued improvement of QC system in alignment with management system
  • QC procedure document preparation and implementation
  • External vendor audit and evaluation in relation to QC compliance and inspection
  • Reporting to QHSE Manager on performance of the QA / QC systems
  • QA/QC Tech review of Package Management documentation 

About You

Minimum of  CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification is required. Understanding of all relevant NDT, Hydro, PMI, Heat-treatment roles & procedures. Welding, Heat input reporting assessment.

Previous experience in QC associated role i.e. dock-pack assessment, material cert reports, welding WPS/WPQR assessment. Hydo-test report assessment, understanding of structural & piping drawings.

Experience/assessment of international standards including but not inclusive of ASME, API, ASTM, DNV, EEMUA, BSI, AWS, NACE should be included in the standards to understand (coating/painting)

Computer literate, visit vendor inspections & report with minimal assistance.

Good understanding of English, both written & oral.
