Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As the Structural Designer, you will: 

• Be technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
• Have experience in coordinating and controlling vendor document submissions and reviews.
• Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing and commissioning.
• Be experienced in producing deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the client’s policies and procedures relative to the equipment being specified.
• Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities and maintainability.
• Be experienced in designing lifting arrangements and the development of installation routes.

You’ll have experience of:

• EPC, Brownfield and Greenfield projects.
• Performing studies, FEED and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role.
• Primary and secondary structural designs.
• Producing structural arrangement drawings.
• Generating 3D models using Plant 3D.
• Producing weight control reports and structural detail drawings.
• Microsoft packages, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
• Chartered Engineer status preferred. 
• Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking.
• Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards.
• Understand the application of Autodesk Design products.
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
• Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST (preferred).
