Working Pattern: Employee Fixed Term Contract / Full Time 

As the Piping Engineer, you will:

  • Be a citizen of Azerbaijan
  • Produce piping deliverables (Piping Fabrication isometrics, Piping support details) that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the client’s policies and procedures.
  • Be able to liaise independently and effectively with Suppliers, Manufacturers for procurement of piping items/components.
  • Be familiar with construction Job cards and construction Work packs as well as project close-out requirements.
  • Interpret system Process and Instrument Diagrams
  • Generate calculations against design codes and best practice.
  • Deliver work scope execution as per project plan, highlighting changes from Client SoR/Project Scope of work (Change management) to the Lead engineer.

About You

You’ll have experience of:

  • Offshore and onshore Oil & Gas business but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in leu of specific O&G experience.
  • Detailed Design project activities, Knowledge and Understanding of construction and commissioning - Should have basic knowledge of plant operation, Maintenance.
  • Valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing) is essential and to be demonstrable.
  • Piping drawings requirements/presentation, working experience of using 3D and 2D CAD Software’s. Basic knowledge of Design application/CATS&SPEC
  • Producing valve data sheets, Experience producing data sheet for Piping Specialty Items (Flexible Hose, Strainers, filters etc.)
  • Produce SDRL's for piping valves, long lead items and piping valves and SP items.
  • Basic Piping stress/flexibility analysis basis. Understanding and Knowledge of Interfaces with Pipe stress team for stress critical line.  Be able to interpret pipe Stress deliverables to produce a cost effective and safe lay-out /arrangement.

 Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or HND/HNC in Engineering, Mechanical or Offshore preferable
  • Sound knowledge of Piping discipline codes and standards (ISO, API, ASME, BSI, NACE etc.)
  • Experience of piping design code (ASME B31.3) is essential, Knowledge of pipeline design code (Like BSI PD8010) and wellhead (API 6A) would be preferable.
  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of UK statutory requirements such as pressure equipment regulation (PER), PED as Safety case regulations.
  • Having offshore BOSIET, MIST and medical are preferred for the role with experience of site surveys for condition assessments, commissioning assistance or dimensional and utility interface reviews, be able to write survey scope of work and Survey reports.
  • Generating calculations against design codes and best practice.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential.
