 Working Pattern: Employee fixed-term contract / Full-time

 As a Warehouseman, you will:

  •  Ensure general yard HSE requirements including PPE, maintaining safe and tidy work areas and general adherence to safety signs and barriers and for ensuring the same compliance by other warehouse personnel in your charge
  •  Ensure all task / freight specific, risk assessments, lifting plans, hazardous substances control procedures and any other task / freight specific hazard control process are carried out in adherence with Company procedures 
    •  Safe and competent operation of machinery, plant and tools as deemed appropriate for the performance of the works, whether under your direct operation or under the operation of other personnel in your charge, subject to prior training, competency and familiarisation.  

    • Responsible for reporting defects or malfunctions of same. 

    • Assist with electrical cable testing, subject to appropriate training and competency, and completion of associated documentation 

    • Interface closely with Materials Coordinator, Procurement Lead (Baku), Yard Management Company, and other yard users 

    • Assist with receipt of all Company goods and materials, check against relevant orders and delivery notes and identify all overages, shortages and anomalies, feeding back such information to Materials Coordinator and/or Procurement Lead (Baku)Once checked, ensure all relevant goods / materials are bagged and tagged following Company instructions. 

    • Assist with packing / unpacking of Core Container Units (CCU’s) and maintaining accurate supporting documentation. Photographing of goods for ease of identification offshore and then passing photographs to Yard Materials Coordinator for on pass to the relevant parties.  

    • Ensure relevant shipping manifests, COSHH date sheets and any other relevant supporting documentation goes with shipments. 

    • For all non-quarantined goods / materials, assist with maintaining valid, accurate and concise materials documentation, shipping records and goods receipt records and update system accordingly 

    • Assist with maintaining and controlling materials quarantine area and for assisting with ensuring full material traceability and documentation, for all inward and outward movements into/from quarantine area 

    • Assist with maintaining and controlling client platform specific laydown and goods return areas as allocated by the Yard Management Company. 

    • Assist with control and guidance of other Company personnel during yard visits, responding to their queries as required and ensuring their compliance with Company and Yard QHSE policies and procedures  

    • Challenge Company systems and processes and make recommendations for improvements and added value 

    • Coordinate the third-party vendors and suppliers on behalf of Company 

    • Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner 

    • Adhere to the company integrated management system 

    • Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies 

    • Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example 

    • Ensure unsafe activities are challenged 

    • Adhere to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems

About You

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Awareness of the application of COSHH legislation
  • OPITO Approved LOLER Competent Person or ECITB APML + TAP01 or equivalent
  • Qualified First Aider
  • Manual Handling Training
  • OPITO approved Banksman Slinger Stage 3
  • Working at Height Training
  • General Hazard Identification Training
  • Competency with MS Office applications
  • BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
  • Reasonable written and spoken English
