Working Pattern: Employee fixed-term contract/Full-time

As a Principal Piping Engineer, you will:
 
  •  Direct and supervise engineers and designers, ensuring technical content and quality of work produced
  •  Direct уngineers and вesigners with frequent liaison to ensure coordination between engineering and design personnel.
  •  Identify scope of work required to undertake a project / jobEstimate deliverables, manpower and time required to execute the scope of work.
  •  Input to project plans and schedules.
  •  Immediate identification to Project Manager/Engineer & Lead Engineer of any issue that has the potential to cause change or growth to any area of the project or study, in comparison to the original design intent / deliverables required.
  •  Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both PD&MS and the Client.
  •  Ensure operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the designSeek input from operations and maintenance personnel and, if beneficial, carry out presentations to site personnel of changes to their installation.
  •  Survey, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of work scopes.
  •   Monitor progress of work and achieving completion within the agreed schedule and budgetReport progress as per PD&MS systems and procedures.
  •  Forward planning of resources and timely identification of changes to resource requirements to the Lead Engineer &/or Department Head.
  •  Produce, check & approve documents and engineering design deliverables created by own discipline.
  •  Review of documents circulated by other disciplines for IDC or comment. Review of Supplier / Vendor documents.
  •  Communicate with other disciplines on design and engineering issues.
  •  Check and approve of requisitions for purchase of engineered items and services.
  •  Identify increase or reduction in scope of work and raise the necessary support documents for project control purposes.
  •  Attend meetings called by Project Manager / Engineer, e.g. kick-off meeting, progress meetingAttend Design Reviews, HAZOPs, Constructability Assessments etc.
  •  Ensuring Discipline Engineers follow procedures for document control and use and retention of check prints/IDC comments prints.
  •  Ensure close-out of completed jobs in a timely manner.
  •  Represent PD&MS with Clients, Suppliers / Vendors and Certifying Authorities in a professional manner.
  •  Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example.
  •  Assist with training and development of Graduate Engineers and assistance to Design Team Leader for training and development of Trainee Designers.
  •  Ensure all supervised personnel are aware of continuous improvement issue of new technology.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

 BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
Chartered Engineer status (preferred)
Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking
Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines
Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
Understanding of the application of Autodesk Design products
Competent in the use of MS Office applications
Offshore Survival certification (BOSIET/FOET)
Exposure & experience to people management & development.
Excellent written and spoken Azerbaijani and English
