About The Role

PD&MS Group are now looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join our Electrical Engineering team on a full-time, on-going contract basis. This role can be based in our Aberdeen or Glasgow office on a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely.

The role primarily involves development of deliverable for Brownfield modification on UKCS Offshore Platforms/Installations. Scopes are off varying complexity from modifications to lighting/small power/trace heating to replacement of switchgear.

Suitable candidates must hold a valid BOSIET/FOET ready to mobilise and complete Offshore Surveys as and when required and be able to utilise 2D and 3D Autocad for this role.

Key duties:

Creates and checks engineering designs
Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
Input to project plans
Identify areas of concern during any project or study
Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore

About You

Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

We’d like you to have a HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
