About The Role

PD&MS Group now have a fantastic opportunity for a IT Systems Assistant to join our IT team on a full-time, fixed -term employee basis at our office in Baku, Azerbaijan.

This is an entry level role which would suit someone who has recently completed a formal qualification within IT system or who has had some exposure working in an IT environment. Full training will be provided.

Please note this role is only available to local Azeri nationals.

Role is responsible for providing primary first line IT support to local and international offices as well as remote / home based users.

Duties include -

Process New Starts and Leavers
Installation of workstation computers and laptops including Microsoft and Engineering Software
Facilitate desk moves including desk setup and breakdown for new starts and leavers
Setup meeting rooms
Asset Tracking of all hardware and software of group equipment including licensing of Microsoft and Engineering software
General Housekeeping of all office locations in terms of IT equipment
Raise Service POs for all IT procurement
Daily check and log of Backup systems
Asist Digital Solutions and Technology team with any aspects of IT support as and when required
Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
Maintain and promote positive working attitude
Liaise with other members of personnel in a professional manner
Liaise with subcontractors and clients in a professional manner
Demonstration of safe approach in working practises
Encouragement of attention to safety
Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
Adherence to the Company Integrated Management System
Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
Demonstrate PD&MS QHSE principles
Raise issues of quality, health, safety and environmental and input to continuous quality improvement element
Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design of equipment and systems

About You

Suitable candidates will have a formal qualification within IT systems, be educated to Standard Grade Level or equivalent in Maths and English with a working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows Office Applications. Ideally candidates will have had some exposure to networking infrastructure, server infrastructure and of installing IT hardware and software. This is an entry level role where previous experience is not essential. Candidates must have excellent written and spoken English.
