Working Pattern: Employee Fixed Term Contract / Full Time

As a Senior Piping Designer, you will:

  •  Represent PD&MS with Clients, Suppliers / Vendors and Certifying Authorities in a professional manner
  •  Identify design scope of work required to undertake a project/job and estimate deliverables time required to execute the scope of work.
  •  Be responsible for early identification to the Lead Designer of areas of concern during the course of any project or study with necessary corrective action identified.
  •  Ensure operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design, seeking input from operations and maintenance personnel.
  •  Survey, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of work scopes.
  •  Checking of department design deliverables.
  • Ensure that all supervised personnel are aware of continuous improvement issues and new technology.
  •  Remain up to date and knowledgeable with technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the position.
  • Communicate with Operations and Maintenance personnel during surveys/site visits to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and determine any opportunities where PD&MS can provide engineering solutions to existing problems or for improving existing methods.
  •  Produce cost-effective design solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both PD&MS and the Client and motivation of discipline personnel to do similarly.
  •  Perform engineering tasks and activities, in accordance with PD&MS QA, HS & E Policies.
  •  Ensure compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Client Specifications and Legislative Requirements and establish order of precedence on a project-by-project basis.
  •  Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and ensure unsafe activities are challenged.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous demonstrable experience in detailed design and design checking
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant oil and gas industry codes and standards
  • Understanding of all engineering disciplines
  • Competency in the use of Autodesk design products
  • Offshore survival certificates (BOSIET/FOET)
  • Exposure to people management
  • Excellent written and spoken Azerbaijani and English.
